How to pick a face painter

Ok so you have found a website and a phone number for a face painter. First of all, make sure that all of the paints used by the face painter are FDA approved and safe for the skin. This will be the first step to guarantee your event will be entertaining and fun for everyone. The second step is to try to talk to the face painter themselves on the phone. This way you get to know a little bit of the personality of the person you are hiring and bringing into your family. Ask them if they have liability insurance, this will protect them and you in case of anything happening at the event. Establishing a connection with the entertainment you are hiring is key to having a successful event for your child. You want to hire somebody friendly, that likes and enjoys what they do. These sort of professionals will bring you the best kind of entertainment.

Quality

If you want your child to have fun and enjoy his party, while cake, friends and family and presents are a big part of what the party is all about, the entertainment is the only thing your child and your guests will probably remember. Why? Because it's the only thing that kids or your guests don't see everyday.

Ask if the face painter has any menus they bring with them. Lana for example, has 3 menus she brings with her. Full/half face designs: One with girl designs, butterflies, flowers, pegasus etc.; one with boy designs, spiderman, batman, spider etc.; and one with small hand and cheek mixed designs. This gives a lot of choices to the kids and the parents. Sometimes parents prefer not to have their kids their whole face painted.
You should try to hire a face painter that has original and cute designs that will entertain your guests. You don't want boring, usual designs. Many of Lana's little customers marvel at her menus and talk about them. They are special designs she has collected over time and has handpicked herself.
