![]() Birthdays are a special time. Cake, candy, and magic! Just wrapped up performing a couple birthdays recently. I perform a lot of 6-8 year old birthdays, also 1st birthday parties where it’s not about the birthday child as much as the cousins and other relatives including grandma and grandpa I entertain. Magic is one of the few entertainment forms suited for a wide age range from little kids, to teens, adults, and even seniors. There is no blue/off color humor to offend. The taste for magic is more universal than music. What DJ can say they play music for that wide an age group? They would have to switch around genres and decades of music quite often to try to fit that bill. Magic is more about us all being like children, experiencing wonder. I love to see stern-looking adults watching in the back all of a sudden crack a smile or tell me after the show, “That trick you did was amazing. I have no idea how you did it!” That is what makes being a magician fun! It’s so great to be able to get mom, dad, and their friends engaged in the magic that when their son or daughter comes up to do the magic the kids and adults are cheering them on! I feel it really does make some special memories for the kids and even adults long after I pack up. We are getting into Easter season with company egg hunt/picnic events and of course Holy Communions into May. If you have a big event coming up let me know whether its magic, balloon twisting, face painting, or even juggling we send out the best entertainers in the Delaware Valley Area guaranteed!
